Abandoned here with nothing left,
The sunlight we knew is gone.
Now every day is lingering death.
The moments are years.
The questions, the tears,
The darkness goes on and on.

So where can we, the failures, turn
With history we can’t erase?
We turn to You, our Father God,
For Love is Your name!
The greater our shame,
The greater Your floods of grace!

Forgiving God! Renewing God!
Since mercy has set us free,
In all we say and all we do,
Let love be so real
That others can feel
How loving Your love can be!
