Lyrics

When troubles plague my struggling faith
And pain is my reward,
When sorrow comes a mighty flood,
Remind me, patient Lord.

Remind me what You laid aside.
Your love embraced the loss,
And hungry, bleeding, weak, abused,
For me You chose the cross.

Remind me, too, of all You are.
Renew my faith again
To grasp Your wisdom, power, and love
And trust Your how and when.

Then give my faith a tiny glimpse
Of all that soon will be:
A rich and tearless life in You
For all eternity.
