Lyrics

You longed for Your children to live in Your love,
The love of the Father and Son.
You built here among us a beautiful home
To dwell with Your family as one.

You fashioned Your home as a haven for all,
A temple of worship and prayer.
But soon with the noise and the stench of our sin,
The chaos of greed filled the air.

You sent us Your Son with the fierceness of love,
A passion to draw us to You.
He started the cleansing of all that is Yours,
To make all creation anew.

Lord, finish Your work on Your beautiful home,
Your temple in Jesus the Son.
For we are Your temple, Your dwelling in Christ,
The glory of heaven begun!
