The first Noel the angels did say
Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay -
In fields where they lay keeping their sheep
On a cold winter's night that was so deep.

Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel!
Born is the King of Israel!

Then by the light of a brilliant star
Three wise men came from country far.
They humbly bowed and worshipped there
With gold and myrrh and incense rare.

Now let us all with one accord
Sing praises to our heavenly Lord!
With shepherds, kings, and angels come
And worship Christ the Holy One!
