Transcendent God, Creator Lord—
To most a myth, denied, ignored;
For creatures proud and self-deceived,
A truth too plain to be believed,
A life too vast, a realm too grand.
But humble minds will understand
The Love that all can see and feel,
That earth and sea and sky reveal.

O Sovereign Lord, our Father Friend,
Your love and power and wisdom blend
To fill our sense and overflow
What eyes can see and minds can know.
But simple faith, so weak and small,
Will touch and know You all in all.
Then by Your Holy Spirit’s art
We’ll share Your mind and boundless heart.
