O Loving God, we hear Your words,
So simple, yet so true,
Planting the seeds of heaven’s life –
The life we all pursue.
Your words are joy and health and hope
That sets the captives free.
Guide as our hungry hearts explore
Your light and mystery.

Almighty, holy, human God,
So high, yet here and now,
All this abundance drowns our need,
Though sense cannot see how!
We long for life, for wealth, for peace;
You give Yourself alone.
All this is but a taste of You;
So much is still unknown.

Though so unworthy, Holy God,
We shed our guilt and fear.
You call us now to follow You,
For Who You are is clear.
We share Your life and sacrifice;
Your nearness, our reward.
O what a joy to walk with You,
Our light, our love, our Lord!
